Arts4success and Animation4success are after schools programme involving Ballyfermot Partnership, local primary schools, and Ballyfermot College of Further Education. Primary school students from Ballyfermot College take part in facilitating arts based and animation workshops. This programmes is usually held twice yearly
There are three main components of the programme:
1) Children are assisted with their homework
2) Children take part in Arts based activities or learn animation techniques.
3) Provision of a meal for the children who are participating
The partnership invites students from 5th class in local schools to take part. The uptake of this programme involves commitment of the teachers from the school’s involved as the programme requires that teachers take part also. Depending on the uptake, the numbers are carefully divided up among the schools taking account of equal numbers of boys and girls.
It is envisaged that two of these programmes will take place in 2009.
