The Whole Time Job Initiative is a FÁS scheme managed under the direction of the Ballyfermot Partnership through Ballyfermot LESN.

The Job Initiative is aimed at long term unemployed individuals and provides full time employment working in local community organisations. The aim of the Job Initiative is to prepare the long term unemployed over 35 enter full time work. While on the Initiative the worker is provided with tailor made training, career assessment and a range of other support services available from the Local Employment Service.

The Job Initiative currently employs 60 individuals. These individuals are working in a variety of jobs including, Caretakers, Administrators, Reception, Child Care, Ground Keepers. All these positions support community based organisations.
